Clonazepam Side Effects
The drug belongs to a group of drugs called benzodiazepines. This drug is used to treat seizures and panic disorder, as it is a muscle relaxant and have hypnotic properties. It is considered to be one of the long-acting benzodiazepines with long elimination half-life of 18 t 50 hours. However, as with other medications, there are clonazepam side effects that should be addressed when prescribing this medicine to patients. Although it is not the same in all cases of patients taking in Clonazepam as some may experience the side effects and some may not experience it all.
Clonazepam Tablets
As said, not all the cases for clonazepam side effects are the same. The more common side effects that could easily be addressed without going to the doctor for diagnosis are constipation; cough, periods of dizziness and drowsiness, lightheadedness, nausea, and getting tired easily. However, you may check with your doctor if these side effects become persistent or bothersome. It is advised not to mix medications without consulting your doctor first. These clonazepam side effects are just normal occurrences so you do not have to panic if you experience any of these. But there might be times that you do not feel anything at all after taking in your regular dosage of Clonazepam.
However, there are cases that clonazepam side effects become severe. If these conditions manifest on the patient taking the prescribed dosage for Clonazepam, then a visit to the doctor right away is a must. Some of the severe clonazepam side effects that must be addressed are behavioral changes, severe allergic reactions, changes in the person’s appetite, and excessive loss of hair, hallucinations, worsening of seizures and unusual bleeding. These are just some of the severe reactions that a patient may experience. If you are taking in this medication and feel something out of the ordinary then it is better to have it checked right away.
